William Stanley “Bill” Kaszycki, beloved husband, uncle, and brother, passed away at the age of 76 on August 27, 2024, in his native Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Carolyn A. (Kampert) Kaszycki, sister-in-law Rosemarie Kampert, and nieces Cassandra (Lamont) Moorer, and Kara (Samuel) Callery.

Bill was born on August 4, 1948, to the late Stanley and Virginia (Briggs) Kaszycki. He grew up in Jefferson Hills, surrounded by his siblings, Carol (Bob DiBella) Savage, David (Elaine) Kaszycki, Elaine (Fred) Massa, Frank Kaszycki, Greg (Lisa) Kaszycki, Harry (Anna) Kaszycki, Ivan (Karrie) Kaszycki, and Julie (Bill Edgrun) Cline.

After high-school, he enlisted in the US Navy where he was ranked as Machinist Mate 3rd Class, completed two tours of duty in Vietnam, and was awarded a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal, and a Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

After military duty, he went on to become a proud graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where he majored in Metallurgy, then went on to become a successful blacksmith, carpenter, mechanic, and business owner.

He allowed himself to chase his own personal pursuits and hobbies such as being the Co-founder and past president of the Pittsburgh Free Thought Community; volunteered for Pittsburgh Literacy, tutoring adults in reading, math, and GED prep; care giver for many family members; car enthusiast; throwing holiday parties; food connoisseur, and renowned family "cheft".

Bill is also survived by Kathleen (Albert C.) Burkhart, Mary (Stephen) Merlo, Thomas Kampert and numerous nieces and nephews. Being the oldest of nine children, Bill was incredibly family oriented and lived his life to the fullest. He was beloved by many people, gave freely of his time to the people he loved the most, and will always be our superhero.
