THEODORE  “TED”  GRABAN

Ted Graban, age 69 of Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania, died at home with family by his side on Thursday, October 14, 2021.  He was born on February 6, 1952, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania one of two children of Theodore, Sr. and Betty Deloris (Dean) Graban.

Ted was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania and the Community College of Allegheny County.  He was a commercial sign artist and over the years as he worked to establish his business, Ted Graban Signs , he shared his artistic vision with the world through the jobs he took on to help others advertise their businesses.

He was an adventurous outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing trips that often took him to places off the beaten path.  He also enjoyed frequenting local auctions and estate sales in search of unique, vintage items to add to his collection.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Margaret Mary (Cavanaugh) “Peggy” Graban, in October of 2018.  Ted is survived by his three daughters, Rebecca Graban, who lived with him, Stefanie Graban of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Jennifer Graban of Wintersville, North Carolina and his sister, Andrea Graban of Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

There will be a Memorial reception of friends and family for Ted on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 2 - 4 PM in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com.  He will be buried in a grave with Peggy in Round Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, his family suggest for donations to help with his funeral expenses.  Thank you.
