STEVEN  M.  LUCAS

Steve Lucas, age 44, died peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2020 after a long and courageous journey with Stage IV Bile Duct Cancer.  He was at his home in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania surrounded by his family at the time of his death.

He was born on September 21, 1975 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Jefferson Hills in 1993.  Steve was an avid Steelers fan and loved riding and working on his daughter’s Dirt Bike.

Steve is the loving husband of 21 years of Aubri (Varlotto) Lucas, whom he knew and dated for 4 years prior to their marriage.  He is the devoted father of 2 children, daughter, Alicia and son, Ryan.  He is also survived by his mother and step-father, Chris (Coulson) and Jim Cain; brother, Dan Cain and step-sister, Dena Petticord.  He was preceded in death by is grandparents, Christopher and Dorothy (Boal) Coulson.

Family and friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 4 – 7 pm.
