SAMUEL C. LIVINGSTON
Sam Livingston age 93 of Pleasant Hills in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania died on Wednesday, April 24, 2013. He was born Samuel Cleland Livingston on March 23, 1920 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, one of five children of Dr. Milton W. and Amy (Garvin) Livingston. He was a World War II Army Veteran and worked as a Soils Engineer for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (Vogel) Livingston; all four of his sibilings, sisters, Sarah McElhaney and Mary Love and brothers, Paul and David Livingston and his son – in – law, Thomas Lazar. Sam is survived by his daughter, Shirley Lazar of Rostraver Township, Pennsylvania and two grandchildren, Larissa (Lucas) Cannizzaro and Thomas Lazar.
Friends will be received from 3 – 8 PM on Friday, April 26, 2013 in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, where his funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery in Pleasant Hills.
