Ruth L. Hoey

Ruth L. Hoey, 96 of Clairton Pennsylvania, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Robin Hoey in Marblehead, Massachusetts. She was born Ruth Lenore Roberts in West Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Besse and Albert Roberts. Ruth was a graduate of Clairton high school and proudly served as a member of the Eastern Star Clairton chapter for over 50 years.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James Hoey of Clairton, and their two sons, Keith and Kraig Hoey; her brothers, Albert, Howard, H. Glenn, Vernon Roberts, and her sister, Grace Debold. She leaves behind her son Kevin and his wife Robin; her six grandchildren, Dan Hoey, Terri Duncan, Jake Hoey, Nicki Hoey, Ryan Hoey and Shannon Hoey and four great grandchildren. 

Family and friends may gather in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home, 1701 State Route 51 (Large), Jefferson Hills, PA 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 10 am until the time of a service of Remembrance at 11 am. A graveside Committal service will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery (Elizabeth Township) McKeesport, PA 15135 where she will be buried next to her husband and two sons.
