RUTH  GEORGE

Ruth George, age 85, of West Elizabeth, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in Mt. Vernon of Elizabeth Nursing Center in Elizabeth Township, Elizabeth, Pennsylvania.  She was born Ruth Pearl Moeller on September 30, 1926 in Ashland, New Jersey, one of five children of Harry and Pearl (Frantz) Moeller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Thomas George (dod: September 15, 1979); a son, William Hatcher; a grandson, Mark Hatcher; two sisters, Bonnie Robinson and Joan Bricker and her only brother, Harry Moeller..

Ruth is survived by  four children, three  sons, Samuel (Linda) George of Elizabeth, Willard (Sis) Hatcher of Gloucester, New Jersey and Gary George of Leggett, California and one daughter, Beverly (Tim) Barncord of Elizabeth;  seven grandchildren, Edward George, Leean George, Lisa Marie Hatcher, William Hatcher, Teresa Carpenter, Shannon Barncord and Danielle Barncord;  five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jenna and Evan George and Joseph and Matthew Carpenter and one sister, Irene Veteese of Coudersport, Pennsylvania.

Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 State Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania on Sunday, April 29th from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM.  Her  funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, April 30th at 10 AM. Burial will be in Monongahela Cemetery Monongahela, Pennsylvania.
