RICHARD “DICK” PAINTER
Richard “Dick” Painter age 72, of Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania, formerly of Baldwin, passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. He was born June 30, 1950, 1 of 3 children of the late Richard and Alfreda Painter.
Dick spent 42 years as a Pleasant Hills Police Sergeant. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. One of Dick’s passions was Corvettes, he was known for his sense of humor, and he loved to tell a good joke!
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandy Layhue. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Painter; children, Richard “Spike” (Lori) Painter, Sherie (Doug) Cannin, Matthew (Evangeline) Monheim & Lauren (Eric) Bedont; grandchildren, Mia, Adam, Josh, Ali, Evelyn, Nathan, Dylan, Trevor & Olivia; brother, Vincent “Butchie” (Annie) Painter; and extended family and friends.
A memorial reception of friends will be held at Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home, 1701 Route 51, Jefferson Hills, PA 15025 on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 6-8 pm. A committal service will be held in Round Hill Cemetery on Saturday, October 22, 2022 with full military honors.
