Rich Fink, age 75 of Finleyville, Pennsylvania died peacefully at his home on Friday, December 7, 2018. He was born on October 19, 1943 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, one of three children of Wayne Albert Fink and Ruth Gertrude (Stanley) Fink.
He retired after 34 years with West Penn Power Company at the Mitchell Power Plant in New Eagle, Pennsylvania. In his retirement, he worked 10 years for the Matthews Bus Company in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania. Rich enjoyed the West Penn Power Retirees breakfasts and the 1961 Thomas Jefferson High School class reunion monthly lunches. He was an avid Trap Shooter and Water Fowl Hunter and a member of the Elrama Sportsmen’s Club in Elrama, Pennsylvania. Throughout his life he accomplished a goal to travel to and visit all 50 states making it to Louisiana, the last one, in 2017.
Rich was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 55 years, Claudia (Webster) Fink; two sons, Chad (Beth) Fink of Ohio and Dane Fink of Finleyville; three granddaughters, Laura, Sarah and Samantha Fink; his brother, Bill Fink of California and his sister, Pat (Jim) Summers of Arizona.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 1 – 3 and 6 – 8 PM in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350). His funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 11AM Condolences may be left on the website www.stephendslater.com.
