Richard Davis

RICHARD  PARKER  DAVIS

Of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, died on Friday, December 9, 2011.  He was born on October 31, 1944 in Columbus, Ohio, one of five children of Wells Lawrence Davis and Ellen Rupert (Murtlow) Davis.  Richard served in the United States Navy as a Radioman during the Vietnam war and worked at the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory for thirty four years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one of his three brothers, Michael Davis.  He is survived by his wife, Carol (Weber) Davis; two children, one son, Adam and his wife Stacie, Davis of Greenfield in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and one daughter, Wendy Davis of Squirrel Hill in Pittsburgh; his two remaining brothers, Larry and Philip Davis and one sister, Susan Wilson.

In keeping with Richard's wishes there will be NO VISITATION or FUNERAL SERVICE.  His family suggests donations be made in his name to Animal Friends Pet Adoption and Resource Center 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15237.  www.thinkingoutsidethecage.org.
