RALPH G. CASCIELLO
Ralph Casciello, age 90 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016. He was born on January 5, 1926 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, one of six children (4 girls / 2 boys) of Gaetano and Elizabeth Casciello. Ralph was a Maitre d` / bartender at various restaurants in the area, including the former Mona Lisa in Brentwood, the Regency Lounge in Bill Green's Shopping Center in Pleasant Hills and Ciccanti's on Route 51 in Jefferson Hills. A US Army Veteran of WW II, he was a member of American Legion Post #712 in Pleasant Hills for over 50 years. He served the legion as an Officer, he became a Life Member, was the Sargent at Arms and played “Taps” for many of the members at their funerals. He was a long time usher at his church, St. Elizabeth of Hungary.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 53 years, Marlyn (Stahura) Casciello (dod: 10/27/2015) and four of his siblings. He is survived by one sister, Maryann Morra of Delaware and many nieces and nephews.
Ralph will be buried with Military Honors in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, near Bridgeville, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 12:30 PM.
