RACHEL  BEHERS

In the early morning hours of Friday, October 1, 2021, Rachel Marie, age 41of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, went on her final journey to heaven.  She was born Rachel Marie Schweitzer on November 19, 1979, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the daughter of Robert Michael Schweitzer and Pamela Jo (Gency) Schweitzer.  She grew up in West Mifflin.

Rachel was preceded in death by her father Robert, and is survived by her loving wife, Stephanie Behers, her much loved puppy Trooper Magee, her mother, Pamela Gency, her parents-in-law, Jim and Diana Behers, her grandfather and step grandmother, Burnell and Ellen Gency, her cousin, Joe Medve, her favorite Sissy, Traci Dougherty, her husband Kevin, her dearly loved nieces and nephew, Taylor, Tara and Aidan Dougherty.  She is also survived by her “partner in crime” Paul Shedlock.

Family and friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, from 1 - 8 PM.  Rachel's funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 11 AM.  Burial in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery in Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania will follow.
