MICHAEL JOSEPH BROSKEY

Michael Broskey, age 84, of Elizabeth Township, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021. He was born September 14, 1937, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, one of four children of the late Raymond and Helen Henrietta (Hiscar) Dombrosky. He grew up in New Eagle, Pennsylvania, then moved to Clairton, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Clairton High School.

Mike worked for US Steel initially at the Clairton Works but, was laid off and went to the Fairless Works near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a hunter, fisherman and dog lover (especially Labrador Retrievers); he loved gambling (especially Blackjack), and he loved a good beer and cigarette smoking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia “Ginger” Venora. He is survived by two brothers, Ray J. Broskey of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, and Gerald “Jerry” (Constance M.) Dombrosky of Elizabeth Township, and nephews, Gary, and Jamie Venora.

Friends will be received on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 2 – 4  &  6 – 8 PM in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com where a blessing service will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 10:30 am. His burial will follow in Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela, Pennsylvania 15063.
