MICHAEL T. ACKMAN
Mike Ackman, age 27 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully, surrounded by an ocean of love with family and friends by his side on Sunday February 2, 2014. Born Michael Terry Ackman on February 5, 1986 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the son of Terry Edward and Marlene (DeSimone) Ackman of Jefferson Hills, he was a great outdoorsman, whose life touched many people.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by twin sisters, Liz and Lindsay Ackman of Jefferson Hills; grandmother, Marie DeSimone of Jefferson Hills; uncles and aunts, Bill and Maryann Ackman, Jim and Jean Ackman, Shirley and Gil Merrill, Denny DeSimone and Ronnie (the late Carla) DeSimone and many loving cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Dick and Betty (Large) Ackman and Joe DeSimone.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 7 – 9 PM and on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 9 PM in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills. His funeral service will be on Thursday at 11 AM in the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church, 199 Old Clairton Road, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15236. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery, Pleasant Hills, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
