MARY  CATHERINE  (PRZYWARTY)  FRAGASSI

Mary Catherine Fragassi, age 89, died Monday, September 19, 2022, at her home in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania surrounded by family.  She was born July 2, 1933 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania one of four children of Frank Lawrence and Catherine (Paulin) Przywarty.

Mary Catherine was a retired employee of Adtranz/Bombardier Transportation in the payroll department.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Lee Fragassi in 2009; four half-brothers, Carl, Lawrence, Edward and Leonard Przywarty; one brother, Francis Przywarty, and one sister, Rose Marie Thornburg.

Mary Catherine is survived by one son, Chet Fragassi of Jefferson Hills; one daughter, Jodi (Greg) Shoemaker of Elizabeth, Township, Pennsylvania; two grandsons, Joshua and Jared (Aeryn) Shoemaker and her sister, Margaret (Don) Pauly of Leesburg, Virginia.

Family and Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM on Thursday, September 22, 2022, in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com.  A prayer will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Friday, September 23, 2022, with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10 AM in Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Thomas A' Becket Catholic Church, Gill Hall Road in Jefferson Hills. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery where she will be buried next to her husband.
