Mary "Lou" McWilliams

Mary “Lou” McWilliams, age 91 formerly of the Carrick neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025. She was born, Mary Louise Hufnagle in Pittsburgh on September 16, 1933, the youngest of five children of Edward Conrad and Marie C. (Schmitt) Hufnagle.

Mary Lou was an Administrative Secretary who wrote Pension Plans for Griffith and Bennett for 36+ years during the 1960’s – the 1980’s. She loved going to Casino’s; she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her family loved her many Sunday dinners.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” McWilliams in 2013; two sons, William and Thomas McWilliams and all four of her siblings, Edward (the late Esther) Hufnagle, Dorothy (the late Paul) Braun, Robert (the late Rita) Hufnagle and Dolores (the late Paul) Schuetz.

Mary Lou is survived by her daughter Patti (Calvin) Felix of Jefferson Hills, PA; daughter-in-law Lisa McWilliams; four grandchildren, Lori (Patrick) Danen, Amy (Tom) Feden, Nikki (Mike) Felix and Greg (Jenn) McWilliams; ten great grandchildren, Dylan (Alex) Feden, Angela Danen, Austyn Feden, Amanda, Matthew and Alyssa Danen, Gavin and Jackson Felix and Camille and June McWilliams and one great great grandson, Ryder Feden. She was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends, especially Cathy and Jim Cain who were always there for Mary Lou.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com. Her funeral service will be in the funeral home on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 10 am, with her burial following in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery next to her husband Bill.
