Mary Kathleen Reynolds

Kathleen Reynolds, age 77 of Floreffe in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024. She was born Mary Kathleen Moresea in Jefferson Borough (now Jefferson Hills) on March 25, 1946, one of five children of George “Chuck” Moresea and Margaret Theresa (Domer) Moresea.

Kathleen, a member of St. Isaac Jogues Church in Floreffe, was a 1964 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School; a member of Jefferson Hills Borough Council for 12 years, Jefferson Hills Women’s Club, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Floreffe Volunteer Fire Department, and the Red Hatters. She loved being a “volunteer” and did so for the Allegheny County Lunch Program, many youth sports groups and the Democratic Committee in Jefferson Hills.

Kathleen, loved cooking and baking for anyone and everyone!

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart, Frank Alvin Reynolds in September of 2011 and two of her siblings, her sister, Margaret Joann Moresea and brother James Lynn “Vic” Moresea.

She is survived by her two sons, Frank (Susan) Reynolds, Jr. and Keith Reynolds, both of Jefferson Hills; two grandsons, Zachary and Joshua; her brother George Alan “Buzz” (Traudel) Moresea, her sister, Joyce Annette (Bill Reynolds) Martin, a sister-in-law, Donna Moresea, and special friend, Tara Welsh, all of Jefferson Hills. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends of Kathleen may gather on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 2 – 8 pm in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, PA 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com. On Saturday, January 27, 2024, there will be a prayer in the funeral home at 9 am followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial in St. John XXIII Parish, St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church 1216 Collins Avenue Jefferson Hills, PA 15025. She will be buried in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, next to her husband Frank.
