LOUIS  MATTHEW  NICCOLI

Louis “Lou” Niccoli, age 85 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, died on October 8, 2021, in Parma, Ohio where his daughter Stacey lives.  Lou was born in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania on August 7, 1936, the only child of Louis Matthew Niccoli, Sr, and Stella (Grochot) Niccoli.

Lou worked as a Foreman for Jones and Laughlin (J & L) Steel which later became LTV Steel for 38 years.  After his retirement, he worked as a security guard at Baldwin High School and the Galleria shopping mall.  His family say’s “he was the biggest Notre Dame fan ever”.  He also loved the Steelers and listening to Elvis Presley and 1950’s music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Daniel Horgos in January of this year.  Lou is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eleanor “Lynne” (Horgos) Niccoli; two children, Stacey (Jeremy Simon) Meyers of Parma and Robert Niccoli; two granddaughters, Katie (Ricky Soinski) Meyers of Lakewood, Ohio and Danielle Horgos of Jefferson Hills.

Family and friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, from 3 – 7:30 pm where a Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 10:30 am. Lou will be entombed in the Mausoleum at Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery in Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania.
