JOSEPH  COVELLI

Joseph Covelli, age 81, of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, December 19, 2012.  He was born February 20, 1931, one of six children of Paul and Angeline (Belcastro) Covelli.  Joe was a U.S. Navy Veteran, worked for US Steel’s Clairton Works and was a member of the West Jefferson Hills Historical Society.  He was always a member of the local Lions Club and could always be found exercising at LA Fitness in Pleasant Hills, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose M. (Ussia) Covelli and daughter, Donna A. Covelli, both in 2004.  He is survived by 2 sons, Atty Joseph P. (Rose Anna) Covelli and Paul E. (Jackie) Covelli, both of Jefferson Hills; 2 grandchildren, Taylor and Justin and all 5 of his siblings, Alfred (Audrey) Covelli, Virginia (Pege) Burens, Antionette Covelli, Rosaria Cingle and Betty (Harry) Santolini.

Friends will be received from 1 – 5 and 7 – 9 PM on Friday, December 21, 2012 in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 State Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday morning at 10 AM in St. Thomas A' Becket Catholic Church  (www.stthomasabecket.com).   Entombment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery in Pleasant Hills.
