Jean L. (Titmus) Danzey

Jean Danzey, age 97 of the Masonic Village in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, formerly of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2023. She was born Jean Lucinda Titmus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 31, 1926, one of three children of Albert Marrah Titmus and Mary Margaret (Mackey) Titmus.

Jean was a graduate of Taylor Allderdice High School in Pittsburgh in 1944 and worked as a Receptionist for the West Jefferson Hills School District during the late 1960’s through the 1970’s. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and loved playing Bridge with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard E. Danzey in July 1999, both of her siblings, brother Robert Titmus and sister Anna Mae (Titmus) Fry and her parents.

Jean is survived by her three children, Richard E. (Vicki) Danzey, Jr., Joyce (James) Mitchell and Alan (Leslie) Danzey; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Kristina) and Alison Danzey, James (Cheryl) and Scott (Erin) Mitchell, and Corey (Kelly), Alex (Katie) and Tyler (Haley) Danzey; twelve great grandchildren, Keira, Andrew, Braelynne, Brandon, Bryson, Elia, Jameson, Aidan, Noah, McKinley, Corbin and Reese and a multitude of friends.

She will be buried with her husband in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery in Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
