JAMES GLENN MILLER
Jim Miller, age 66, of Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania, passed peacefully at home on Friday, December 17, 2021, with his wife at his side. He was born on April 20, 1955, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania the son of the late Mary Louise (Wagner) Beluschak.
Jim was a 1973 graduate of East Allegheny High School and served his country in the U. S. Army in the 101st Airborne as a Ranger during the Vietnam Era. Jim was a “Jack of all trades” and a fixer of everything. At one time he owned his own car repair business and home improvement business. His past work history included paramedic, coroner’s office, constable, security officer in numerous Pittsburgh housing complexes and eventually doing building maintenance for Tryko Partners in Oakland, PA.
Jim had a love for deer hunting, his 1984 Goldwing Motor Bikes, the oldies and especially his granddaughter, Kayden.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother and is survived by his wife of 18 years, Lynn M. (Pavlik) Miller; daughter, Nicole K. (Alex) Mazzarini of Castle Shannon, PA; granddaughter, Kayden Marie Mazzarini; his German Shepherd buddy, Tanner; siblings, Richard Miller, Candy (Dennis) Heath and Mary Ann Beluschak and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 20, 2021, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com. There will be a Blessing Service in the funeral home at 10 am on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Jim will be entombed in the Mausoleum at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in North Versailles, Pennsylvania with Military Honors.
The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care provided to Jim during his time of need to AGH Hospice.
Jim was known as a “character” to all that knew him. His quick wit and comeback responses were legendary.
