Helen (Campbell) Jones
Helen Jones, age 91, formerly of South Greensburg, Pennsylvania died Sunday, October 16, 2011 in Country Meadows Nursing Center in Bridgeville, Pennsylvania. She was born March 9, 1920 in Greensburg a daughter of Homer Leslie Campbell. and Nora Matilda (Stahl) Campbell. Helen was a retired employee of Westmoreland County and a longtime member of the South Greensburg United Methodist Church. She and her late husband, Thomas Jones (dod: April 10, 2001) played in a Country Western band, Helen played guitar.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Jones, Jr.; a Grandson Wesley Robert Lytle and Siblings, Dorothy Stefl and Donald Campbell.
Helen is survived by 2 Daughters, Meridel Jones of Warren, Ohio and Melanie (Jeffrey) Latimer of Finleyville, Pennsylvania; 2 Granddaughters, Wendy (Jack) Finch and Shannon (Bill) Siwicki, both of Warren and 2 Great-Grandsons, Jack Finch, Jr. and Alex Siwicki.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 State Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 10 AM until the time of service at 12 Noon. Burial will be in Westmoreland County Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensburg.
