Gertrude Lotis

   Gertrude M. Lotis, age 93, of the Southside Slopes section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 8, 1930, 1 of 4 children of the late John and Sophia Gallick.

   Gertrude was retired from working at the Duquesne Club, she also volunteered with Bethany Hospice for many years. She was a member of St. Mary of the Mount Church – Mary, Queen of Peace Parish and a member of the Christian Mothers. She loved to travel, having visited much of Europe with her sister and brother-in-law, Bernie and Jerry.

  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; her brother, Raymond; and a sister, Marie. She is survived by her 7 children, Deborah, Sharon (Charles), Howard, Regis (Karol), Danny (Cindy), Ron, and Michelle (Paul); 52 Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren; a sister, Bernadette (Jerry); and she is also survived by her furry friend Tucker.

  Visitation for Gertrude will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 1 – 3 & 5 – 7 PM in Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home, 1701 Route 51, Jefferson Hills, PA 15025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 10 AM in St. Mary of the Mount Church – Mary, Queen of Peace Parish, 403 Grandview Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15211 (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHRUCH).
