GARY DEAN BICKERTON

Gary Bickerton, age 80 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 4, 2022.  He was born on March 16, 1942, in Jefferson Borough (now Jefferson Hills), Pennsylvania a son of James Burkhammer Bickerton and Catherine Louise (Roesch) Bickerton.

Gary worked for Sturman Larkin Ford for over 35 years as a mechanic and he loved working with wood when not at his job.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jaime Bickerton on April 16, 2020.  He is survived by his wife, June Elizabeth (Large) Bickerton; four sons, Gary Dean Bickerton, Jr of Texas, Terry Bickerton of Texas, Keith Large of Daisytown, Pennsylvania and James (Tracy) Bickerton of Clairton, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Crystal Bickerton, Jake (Blake) Bickerton, Zander Bickerton and Zavier Bickerton; five great grandchildren, David, Nathan, Emma, Noah and Lilly; his brother, Dave (Judy) Bickerton of Clairton; many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Baby.

As per Gary’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service and he will be interred with his daughter, Jaime in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery.  Arrangements are by the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home in Jefferson Hills.

Gary will be remembered as a person who was always there when someone needed him.  He will be greatly missed by his soulmate of 51 years as a loving and devoted husband, father and great grandfather.  He will be missed by all.
