FRANK "GREENBOY" ROSSI
Frank “Greenboy” Rossi age 91 of Clairton, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, January 19, 2013 in Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania. He was born September 11, 1921 in Montedenermo, Italy, Frank Joseph Rossi, one of three children of Fidele and Angela Rossi. Frank worked with Allegheny County for 28 years, was a lifetime member of the Sons of Columbus and served in the US Army as a Private during WWII in the South Pacific Theater.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann (Chasko) Rossi (dod: February 25, 1993) and is survived by his 2 daughters, Helen Patrick of Jefferson Hills and Ann (Howard Romines) Rossi of State College, Pennsylvania; 2 siblings, Tom (Renie) Rossi and Fannie (James) Harvey both of Clairton and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM in Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills where a Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 AM, with Father Chuck Baptiste of the St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church in Clairton officiating. Burial will be in St. Clare Cemetery on Worthington Avenue in Clairton.
In lieu of flowers Frank's family suggests donations to St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church 460 Reed Street Clairton, Pennsylvania 15025 or a charity of your choice.
