EARL JAMES FAIRMAN, JR.
Earl Fairman, age 70 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at his home. He was born, one of four children of Earl James, Sr. and Margaret Louise (Murdzak) Fairman April 3, 1951, in Homestead, Pennsylvania. The family was raised in the Plum Borough area of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
When Earl was eighteen, he entered the US Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was a wholesaler for cars and had his own car lot. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was also a trap shooter who entered competitions across numerous states.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his only brother, Ricky Fairman. Earl is survived by his wife of 23 years Sandy Fairman; two sons, Eric (Lisa) Fairman of Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania and Brian “BJ” Fairman formerly of Baldwin Borough, PA and currently teaching in China; five grandchildren, Eric, Alysa (fiancé Corey), Garret, Hunter and Graci Fairman and his two sisters, Patty Fairman and Becky (Jeff) White.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350). Burial with full military honors will be held at 10am Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies . www.stephendslater.com.
