DORIS  SZERSZEN

Doris Szerszen age 88 of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania died on Friday, December 27, 2019.  She was born on January 3, 1931 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania and grew up there, one of six children of Anthony John Finn and Elizabeth (Lehner) Finn.

Doris was a member of the former St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in McKeesport where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and the Rosary Society.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four of her siblings, Rosemary Stematz, Elizabeth “Sis” Van Eman, William Finn and Mary Louise Garrity.  She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia (Anthony) Link of Reserve Township, Pennsylvania and Holly Szerszen of West Miffllin, Pennsylvania, her sister, Ann Hines of Clairton, Pennsylvania and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania (412-384-0350) on Monday, December 30, 2019 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM.  There will be a prayer in the funeral home on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 9:45 AM with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in Holy Spirit Catholic Church 2603 Old Elizabeth Road West Mifflin, Pennsylvania 15122.  Doris will be buried in Lebanon Church Cemetery (next to the church) following the Mass.
