DOLORES  J.  (SARVER)  CASSIDY

Dolores Cassidy, age 88 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, December 14, 2015. She was born Dolores Joan Sarver in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the eldest of two children to Kenneth Sylvester and Rosetta Katherine (Cichoski) Sarver.  Dolores was a loving mother and homemaker who also taught C.C.D. and prepared children for their First Holy Communion at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Library, South Park, Pennsylvania.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Cassidy; son, John D. Cassidy and grandson, Aaron Neill. Dolores is the beloved mother of Judy (Rich) Fetchen of Hilo Hawaii, Rose (Orlando) Smith of Floreffe in Jefferson Hills, Geraldine “Gerry” Cassidy of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, Mary Lambing of South Park, Audrey (Curt) Neill of Pleasant Hills, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Renee Cassidy of Arcadia, Florida. She is also survived by her brother, Kenneth (Lois) Sarver of Glenshaw, Pennsylvania; 17 grandchildren, Diane, Christine, Randy, Tony, Roxann, Becky, John, Jenny, Beth, Brenda, Rose, Jesse, Shawn, Valerie, Colin, Andrea and Hank; 17 great grandchildren, Justin, Jeff, Zach, Sarah, Luke, Emily, Lily, Chole, Colton, Sofia, Shalyn, Sharee, Shavon, Shamere, Bently, Liley and Daymien and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives will be received from 2 – 8 PM on Sunday, December 20th in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51(Large) in Jefferson Hills. A funeral prayer will be held in the funeral home on Monday, December 21st at 9 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Route 88 in Library.  Dolores will be buried in Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania.
