Claudia Godlewski

Claudia Godlewski, age 85, of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 at home with her family by her side. Claudia was born February 9, 1938 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 1 of 2 children of the late William and Anita Lazzarini.

Claudia was very active in her church, St. Thomas A’ Becket, Triumph of The Holy Cross Parish, where she was a member of the Marian Singers (which she started in 2007), Ladies of Charity, and Prayer Group. She enjoyed word searches, crafting,  painting and participating in craft shows with her talents. She also enjoyed cooking and watching classic movies and westerns.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, of 48 years, Henry Godlewski and her brother, Ralph Lazzarini (Lazzar). She is survived by 3 children, Sharon (Michael) Gomber, Sue (Brad) Weber, and Joe (Janice) Godlewski; 6 grandchildren, Anthony (Jennifer) Neel, William (Amy) Neel, Ashley (Timothy) Godisart, Kathryn (Daniel) Baker, Kimberlee (Rudolph) Medved, and Dominique (Devon) Bistarkey; 11 great grandchildren with 1 on the way; and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 State Route 51 (Large) Jefferson Hills on Sunday, January 28^th  from 1 - 6 pm. Her funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas A’ Becket Catholic Church, 139 Gill Hall Road, Jefferson Hills 15025, THC Parish, on Monday, January 29^th at 10 am EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.   In lieu of flowers family suggests donations to Triumph of The Holy Cross Parish, Ladies of Charity of THC Parish, or American Diabetes Association.
