Cesidio "Chester" Persichetti

CESIDIO  “CHESTER”  PERSICHETTI

Chester Persichetti, age 88 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021. He was born Cesidio Persichetti on February 24, 1933, in Alvito, Italy, one of four children of Luigi and Dominica (Fazio) Persichetti.

He came to the United States at age 18 and started his own construction company, he was a masonry contractor. He loved his job, his grandchildren and great grandchildren and traveling in his motor home to all the National Parks in the lower forty-eight states and Canada.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all three of his siblings, brothers, Lorenzo and Antonio Persichetti and sister, Josephine Agula all of Italy.

Chester is survived by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn (Bercik) Persichetti; four children, Lori (Dave) Schalles of Jefferson Hills, Robert (Michelle) Persichetti of Perryopolis, Pennsylvania, Maryann (Wayne) Cheatle of Mooresville, North Carolina, and Joanne (Mike) Ricci of Erie, Pennsylvania; eleven grandchildren, Alys (Cheatle) Jarvela, Nicole (Cheatle) Campbell, Julie (Schalles) Bazalewski, Stephanie (Schalles) Cunningham, Mark Schalles, Logan Persichetti, Michael Persichetti, Halie Ricci, Matt Breitenbah, Nina Ricci and Lauren Ricci; four great grandchildren, Evan, Zach, Eric and Claire.

Family and friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com on Friday, October 29, 2021, from 5:30 – 8 PM. There will be a prayer in the funeral home on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 9 AM with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10 AM in Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Thomas A’ Becket Catholic Church 139 Gill Hall Road Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery, Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania immediately following the Mass.
