Cathleen Lynn Carson

Cathleen Lynn “Cathy” Carson, age 63 of Clairton, Pennsylvania, died at her home with her sister, brothers, niece, family and friends by her side on Friday, August 16, 2024. Cathy was born on April 24, 1961, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, one of five children of Joseph Patrick Carson and Patricia Ann (Patrick) Carson.

A 1979 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Jefferson Hills, PA, Cathy formerly resided in Finleyville and Elizabeth, PA. She had her own residential home cleaning business for over 30 years where she lovingly cleaned her clients homes and helped organize their lives. She was a proud 25 year volunteer with the Special Olympics including time serving on the PA State Committee for Special Olympics. She also served many years with the Jefferson Hills Ambulance Association.

Cathy was a passionate advocate for human and animal rights.

Cathy had a huge caring heart that drove her to action, deep loyalty to her friends, family, and clients. Cathy loved fiercely and if you were one of the lucky ones she loved there was never any doubt how she felt about you.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Patrick Carson, Jr. Cathy is survived by her three siblings, sister, Peg (Doug) Whitehouse of Jefferson Hills, brothers, Gary (Susan) Carson of Florida and Tim (Cindy) Carson of Virginia; her sister-in-law, Kathy Carson of Florida; many nieces and nephews and her three Chihuahua’s, Winnie, Sara and Mary.

Family and friends will be received at a Memorial celebration of her life on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 11 am – 1 pm, with a service following, in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 15025 (412-384-0350) www.stephendslater.com.
