Jason Caruso, age 43, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jason was born on August 12, 1974 in McKeesport Hospital in McKeesport, Pennsylvania the son of Kathleen (Simica) Sandin Caruso and Anthony B. Caruso. He grew up in the West Mifflin and Glassport areas of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and most recently lived in Rostraver Townwhip in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
He was a graduate of Mon Valley School in 1995. He played basketball while in school, loved wrestling, “WWE”, music, scary movies and everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his father in 2011, his grandparents and many uncles and aunts. Jason is survived by his mother, of Rostraver, three sisters, Christine (Thomas) Reitz, Sharon (Jay Zenobi) Sandin and Renee Caruso; six nephews and nieces, Tommy, Ashley (Christopher), Jamie, Alyssa, Maddie, and Blakeley; three great nephews and nieces, Cayden, Jayleigh and Jayce; aunts and uncles, Tony (Shirley) Simica, John Resh, Sue Caruso and Kelly (Caruso) Wolf and many cousins.
Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 1 – 3 and 6 – 8 PM. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 11 AM with Father Vincent Gigliotti of St. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Rostraver Township officiating. Jason will be buried next to his father in St. Joseph Cemetery in North Versailles, Pennsylvania.
