ADRIENNE  (LIPPERT) SHAW

Adrienne Lippert Shaw, age 54, of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on May 18, 2014, while on a European Cruise with her husband and daughter.  She was born December 10, 1959 one of four children of Joseph A. Sr. and Audrey Lippert.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, adoring daughter, caring sister, aunt and friend to all. To know Adrienne was to love her. She had a passion for traveling. She took on the challenge of home-schooling both of her children and enjoyed being Scout Master and leader with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. She loved entertaining and playing games with her family. Everyone was welcome in Adie’s home.

Adrienne’s legacy is her extreme devotion to family and friends, thoughtfulness, willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need and foremost her ability to see humor in EVERY situation. Her laughter and sometimes unique sense of humor was infectious. Her love of life was only surpassed by her love of family. She was truly a selfless person; her generosity of spirit was endless.

(Michelle) Lippert, Jr., Kim Lippert, and Greg S. (the late Laurie) Lippert, Sr.; brother-in-law, Jack Shaw; nieces and nephews, Joseph (Ashley) Lippert, III, Josh (Amber) Lippert, Greg S. Lippert, Jr., Danielle Lippert, Jonathan (Elizabeth) Shaw, Bethany Shaw, Jacob Shaw and Brianna Pail; one great nephew, Logan Lippert and two step sisters, Susan Grant and Betsy (Brian) Pail. Adrienne was welcomed with open arms by her late father Joseph A. Lippert, Sr., Grandma Sophie, Aunt Betts, Sister-in-law Laurie and Step-Father Lee Grant.

Friends will be received on Saturday and Sunday from 1 – 4 and 6 – 9 PM in the Stephen D Slater Funeral Home 1701 Route 51 (Large) Jefferson Hills 15025. 412-384-0350. A prayer will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Monday, with Mass of Christian burial following at 10 AM St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Finleyville. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township, Pennsylvania.

Adrienne made a point to tell all of us in the family that if she died “tomorrow”, do not be sad because she had lived a full and extraordinary life. Adrienne's dad always told her “Life is for the living!” and Adrienne believed that whole heartedly. She would tell you to grieve a little, but then move on, remembering always her smile and laughter.
