JAMES “JIM” HARVEY
Jim Harvey, age 67 of Clairton, Pennsylvania, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 21, 2021. He was born James Fred Harvey on April 29, 1954 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania one of three children of James Regis Harvey and Philomena Marie (Rossi) Harvey.
He graduated in 1972 from Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. He attended Penn State University at the main campus and went on to work in various occupations including Westinghouse at Walt’s Mills, Metalized Paper Co., and Damascus Steel in Homestead before going into the food industry. He received chef’s training from Bidwell in Pittsburgh and he worked for Nemacolin Resort, the Youghiogheny Country Club, and the Rainbow Soup Kitchen in Homestead before retiring in 2017.
Jim was preceded in death by his father and is survived by his wife, Kelly (Dudgeon) Harvey; his daughter, Sonya Harvey; a granddaughter, Grace Arthur; his mother Philomena “Fannie” Harvey; his two siblings, sister, Pamela (John) Felbaum of Massachusetts and brother, Tim Harvey of Arizona; his nieces, Jessica and Emily; and nephews, Timothy and Adam.
There will not be any funeral services. His family will have a Celebration of his Life at a later date. It will be posted on Kelly and Sonya’s Facebook pages.
